Future of Forestry

I saw these guys a couple weeks ago down at Church on the Hill in San Jose.
Along with Common Children, they are one of the few CCM bands that I can actually listen to.
Ken Andrews of Failure / ON / Year of the Rabbit fame produced their album, Twilight.
It turns out that a friend of a friend of my mine that I met in the studio a while back is touring with them.
They don’t sound like Sigur Ros but there is something similar in their approach and the warmth of the sound.
They are all multi-instrumentalists and will move to different instruments during a song.
and they tour with a huge vibraphone.
If that doesn’t sell you on buying their albums or seeing them live, I don’t know what will.
They bring the rock.
Their new Advent EP is worth picking up.
