I rarely post status updates on Facebook anymore.
Most status updates seem like “first world problems” or humble brags. Or I’m eating at In-n-Out Burger – Like!
I think my wife is annoyed when I post pictures of Russian River Brewing Company beer. Pliny the Younger lived up to the hype. Moonlight Brewing‘s Death and Taxes is worth checking out if you can find a place that serves it in CA.
Not getting your Strymon Timeline on the first day is a first world problem. The previous Strymon releases have been hyped but this one felt like an Apple product launch for guitar players.
No Strymon pedal = angry sneakerhead
How are you going to be able to talk about it on TGP and post a new pedalboard picture if you don’t get one in the first batch? 🙂
I had trouble getting my payment processed (5 pending transactions on my credit card) and didn’t get one from Strymon. Instead of going on TGP or Strymon Facebook page to complain about it, I started calling dealers. I spoke to Tone Merchants (was supposed to receive their shipment yesterday but was about to call Strymon for status) and True Tone (getting 6 next week) before I spoke to John Fromel at Leading Tone in Seattle. He was expecting a small shipment shortly and he was able to sell me one (no CA sales tax!). I asked him about a Chandler SDE rack to pedal project that he is doing and what is involved with the work. Cool guy.
FYI – Strymon has dealers. Keep it a secret. If you want to get on a waitlist, you can do that with some dealers.
El Capistan used prices are starting to drop on TGP.
I didn’t think it would go below $250.
